Kaila Lancaster is an essayist who holds a PhD from Oklahoma State University. Kaila's work is published in Brevity, The Pinch, Third Coast, Puerto del Sol, and The Under Review, among others. As a former collegiate athlete, Kaila is currently working on a memoir-in-essays that explores her relationships and identity through the lens of sports and recreation. When Kaila's not writing, she is most likely playing pickleball or tennis.  

 

Kaila lives and writes in the Pineywoods of East Texas, where she is also a lecturer at Stephen F. Austin State University.
