Kaila Lancaster is a writer, instructor, and PhD student at Oklahoma State University. Kaila's work is forthcoming or published in Brevity, The Pinch, Third Coast, and Puerto del Sol, among others. As a former collegiate athlete, Kaila is currently working on a memoir-in-essays that explores her relationships and identity through the lens of sports and recreation. When Kaila's not writing, she is most likely freestyle jump roping or playing tennis.  

 

Kaila lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with her Shih-Tzu, Ellie. Ellie has earned her Master's of Fetching Arts, and she's currently working on her PhDog.
